Taking my evening nourishment, some form of local brass band in the basement of the cathedral across the street began a rendition of the Star Spangled Banner. I’m not certain if they were a youth group of some sort, though I’m not inclined to ask. Let’s just say this was my strong impression. It was clear from the beginning though that this was potentially hazardous to any actual well being I currently harbored for my fellow man. When lo, this should pop up in the much maligned brain dump commonly described as my rss feeds. Ahhh…..and soon the bass was deep enough to rattle to the pictures on the wall and send the cat scurrying under the bed for cover. Perfect.

They’ve moved on to Sousa. I’ll be putting this one on repeat.
