Was that a cowbell? Part II

The folks over at BoingBoing yesterday briefly posted about a neat little online app that purports to add selected levels of cowbell and/or Christopher Walken samples to any desired mp3. This, I thinks to myself, is surely too good to be true. Certainly to good to be done well, for I am both a fan of said actor’s particular cadence and eerily partial to the gratuitous use of cowbell. Last night I had the opportunity to actually give it a test, but of course being the sort of person I am I decide that my first victim will be some of my favorite works from Venetian Snares. I import a couple songs I’m especially partial to and hit play….OMGscreamingwalkencowbellorgy!!! Brilliant!

Hours of entertainment. I personally recommend setting the Walken to 100%

  1. Awesome if only the processing speed wasn’t so long. I think it defies the instant gratification rule. That’s been reduced to, what, ten seconds now?

  2. Given increasing bandwidth and browser apps I think it’s down to 7 actually. I’m gonna be really concerned once we start getting into negative numbers…
