Y’know? It’s the laughter that really gets to me

The world is full of strange and interesting permutations.

Not the least of which is, of course….Japanese schoolgirl zombies!

An excerpt from the conversation that ensued while watching this movie one Sunday afternoon:

C: “so, at this point, do we know what’s actually supposed to be happening here?”
G: “I don’t think so…I can’t tell”
C: “I feel like there’s a fundamental cultural divide that’s keeping us from truly appreciating this”
G: “Yeah, I think we’d have to be Italian to really get this”
C: “Oh?”
G: “They understand Fellini”
C: “ah.”

Sorry. I had to do it….

  1. Yes, looking back I think our banter was far more interesting than the movie that day. Although the images were stunning. Maybe we should re-edit the movie. Every time I see the trailer I desperately want to watch that movie, but then I remember shear confusion and loss of interest.

  2. These things can happen! Rather disappointing because the trailer is quite enticing. What a classic commentary during a foreign zombielious film.
