For those slight few of you who may still doubt the certainty of the impending collapse of society at the fecund hands of masses of shambling members of the Living Dead, Cracked presents us with five scientifically valid (well, sort of…) methods in which this may occur. My personal favorite? A worldwide outbreak of improperly prepared Fugu, in conjunction with alkaloids derived from the plant matter used as garnish in the finished plate. And when someone adds too much wasabi, voila….murderous shambling killer!

All the more reason to load up on shotgun ammo and a machete. Ah, I miss the days of premillennium paranoia where I used to load up on MRE’s and read survival manuals for fun. A trench shovel makes a great weapon. I’ve been thinking a lot about how the snow and sub-zero temperatures would keep the zombies at bay until spring. Maybe I should move further north.
