And to you I offer my cold dead hand.

Just wandered across this and had a Left 4 Dead PTSD moment:

With any luck it’s just possessed and not actually dead so I won’t have to wonder about the bits connected to it. But still, eerily reminiscent of my last final scene. On a side note, it does strangely make me want to work in inks again…

Zombieland, Zombieland, Zombieland!!!!

The new trailer to Zombieland. Words can not describe how much I want to see this film, instead we will have to rely on the echoes of my head slappings. Maybe Woody Harrelson can do for Zombies what he has already done for serial killers. October can’t come soon enough. Hopefully this will mean there will be that many more Zombies this Halloween. Finally, a Halloween fashion trend I can welcome.

My Little Zombie

These are so utterly morbidly adorable. If I ever have kids (and let’s hope, for the sake of the world at large, that I never do). I’ll need to do a full set so they can have a proper horde and eviscerate a cabbage patch doll.

Thriller – MJ

Okay, I might get MDK (murder death kill) for this one but I was popping along the interwebz and came unto this little nostalgic piece. It’s like watching a B-rated horror movie! I remember I always loved the video but thought the dance to it was not so cool. (I swore I saw some of those moves on the dance floor during a particular girlfriend’s recent b-day outing! hehe!) I do like to watch people do it these days, when they have had just a wee bit too much!

For those of you who are not old enough to remember when MJ was black and not so freakish watching this might shock you! For those of you who do remember, feast on the laughter that is the man of horror…ah, Vincent Price!

The video is of course protected so….

Like I said, not enough zombies!!!

First Friday Art Walk and Old Port Festival 2009

Holla!

I just thought I would mention some local community events for the weekend! We are trying to get a bit more involved with community events. Whether it be your community or my community we thought it would be a nice touch to add that feature to the site. We might talk about something going on in in SF or in the backyard of BoL. Let us know what you think! Feed back, folks, feed back! :)

Local Jelly!

I’ve only heard about this recently, but I have to say, I’m really excited that one of our local galleries and all around primary downtown destinations Space has decided to host a Jelly in the upcoming days! For anybody that’s not familiar, Mashable has some more details, but basically its a chance to expand your work environment collaboratively with other folks with varied skills and interests, and I heartily encourage anyone in the Portland area to attend. I would love to see this become a regular event, as to me it represents a sort of intersection between Hackerspaces and your prolific-yet-boring Top-down enterprise arrangement (some of us put up with the latter for the sake of pursuing the former). I would be there myself in a heartbeat if I could swing the corporate leeway. But I’m at least hoping for some good twitter coverage throughout the day.

Launch date is June 9th from 10-4pm. Space is at 538 Congress (how appropriate!) St., Portland Maine . Also followable on twitter: @Space

And for my next trick; to rid myself of the various NDAs!
